Heat

May 28, 2006

It’s been hot here lately. Too hot. 90s for the whole week last week, nothing but low 90s, upper 80s forecasted for next week. We even had a record-breaking day this past Wednesday (96). Add the heat to little or no rain this month, and it’s going to make a hot, dangerous, summer.

Having some good fun lately reading some transit/Amtrak blogs that I found.

Speaking of heat, Congress is getting itself into some sticky situations lately. The most ridiculuos thing to me is the response to the search of Rep. Jefferson’s Congressional Office… From what I’ve read of the the Constitution and legal pundits, there is no Constitutional protection against searches like this. Republicans who are outraged by the search are just shooting themselves in the feet, especially with mid-term elections coming this fall. Idiots.

Not really, I heard Pete on the radio this morning - and he was not happy. The FBI did not follow procedures . There was a better way they could have done the search. They did it w/o notifying the Speaker of the House which they are supppose to do.

Been hot here too. Muggy as well. Yummy. I love getting out of work and getting into my little Hyundai and burning myself on my steering wheel and seatbuckle. Lovely. It really is, I swear.
